This charming café offers an array of tempting baked goods, with a special focus on cakes and desserts that are sure to satiate any sweet tooth. I visited Sunday In Scotland this morning (on a Sunday!) and it was a perfect way to start the day. The location at Sliema Ferries is ideal and easy to find and with a lovely view of the seafront. I ordered a Passion Fruit Cheesecake (€6.50), a Le Flan (€4.50), and a double espresso (€3.20) all of which were excellent. The cheesecake was rich, smooth, and full of flavour, while the flan was light and very well balanced. The coffee stood out, they use their own Sunday In Scotland beans, and you can really taste the quality. The espresso had great aroma, easily one of the best I’ve had in Malta. I also want to highlight the service. Maile, the waitress taking my order, was incredibly kind, sweet, and professional. Even though she was working alone and clearly busy, she still took the time to check if I needed anything else and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The venue itself is beautiful, you can sit either outside in the sun or inside, where the artistic and cosy interior is spotless and clearly well looked after. It’s the kind of place that feels special without being pretentious. Whether you’re visiting on a lazy Sunday or popping in during the week, I highly recommend it for coffee, cakes, or just to relax and soak in the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

I didn’t like the coffee a lot, it was bitter. The cake was nice, but extremely sweet

Sunday in Scotland is a cute little café that’s great for a relaxed breakfast or a coffee break. They’ve got some tasty baked goods, decent breakfast options, and nice drinks. There’s even a bit of outdoor seating, which is a lovely touch when the weather’s nice. It’s in a good spot, but a little letdown was that a few things on the menu weren’t available when we visited. What we did have was good, though, so no complaints there! The staff were friendly, and the vibe was chilled, but service could have been a bit quicker. All in all, it’s a nice place to stop by. Nothing fancy, but it does the job if you’re in the area and want something laid-back.

With the morning sun on your face and the opportunity to people watch, this was a great start to the day. I'm giving the service a 3 rating because the poor waiter/ server was working on his own and rushed us through our order so that he could get to other patrons. We ended up ordering the creamy avo and egg toasted sandwiches which were good but not really our first choice with many items on the menu being unavailable. The Thai Chai was spicier than expected so do not expect the cinnamon flavour. The star of the show was the raspberry and almond croissant! You got to try it!

Great effort to the only waiter available in the morning! His cappuccino art skills are well honed! I would recommend they have at least 2 staff at all times, especially between 7-10am, as many people enter wanting to make an order for breakfast, and being only one person taking all those orders can slow down the workflow.

Coffee is best And so pistachio biscuits too! I have been here twice, cookies are extraordinarily. You don’t believe how good the staff is when we visited, very friendly helped us with some cool places to visit and very polite. A cool place to sit outside, enjoy a great coffee and chill. Pastries are worth trying.

Very friendly waiter and helpful. The quality of the bakeries is excellent you can feel the butter even after a while after you finish. Highly recommended if you’re around Selima and looking for a nice dessert and coffee.
